Hello, good reader, and welcome to my blog!
My name is Hayley and I’ve always felt called to write, but haven’t totally figured out how to navigate that calling. So for now, I write as much as possible here at My Life, Elevated. (Here’s the story of how this name came about!)
On this blog, I share my thoughts on just about everything from food to fitness, friendship to family, faith to frustrations, and everything in between. I’d love for you to join me as I continue following my heart for writing!
Some things you may or may not know about me:
I was born and raised in Oklahoma, and I moved to Utah at the beginning of 2018. I love the mountains more than most things on Earth, so living here is a total dream.
I have an unnaturally difficult time opening child-proof things like the lids on medication bottles, Listerine bottles, etc. I hope to outgrow that someday, but it doesn’t look great for me.
I am easily frightened/alarmed. I often jump when the toast is done. Several years ago, my husband bought a post-Halloween 90% off clown mask to take advantage of this. (I know. And we’re still married.) It has provided countless scares, laughing, cussing and occasional smacks to the head ever since.
I grew up wanting to be a famous singer. Now the idea of fame is nauseating, but I still love to sing and will almost always take the mic if offered.
In my spare time I like:
- Bowling with my husband (spare time…see what I did there?)
- Learning how to shoot landscape photography
- Attending and reviewing local theatre productions
- Watching The Office for the billionth time
- Watching Parenthood for the billionth time
- Listening to audiobooks
- Taking walks on the trail near my house with my husband and pup
Most of you are friends or family, and I am eternally grateful that you care enough about me to read what I have to say.
For those of you who don’t know me, thank you for being here. I hope you find something inspiring, relatable, entertaining and honest. And I hope you’ll come back again soon!
You never have to miss a post–feel free to follow my blog to have new posts sent directly to your inbox! I promise I’ll make it worth it (or at least I’ll try).
Happy reading, and wishing you a life elevated!
